Caiden and the Monster!

Submitted by Eliana on Sat, 03/26/2011 - 10:01pm

I bet you didn't realize how many monsters we have chasing us at my house! It is really dangerous! The other day Mommy and I had to jump in the car and race as quickly as we could (to Target) to get away from the monster that was chasing us. Don't worry, we made it! And so did Caiden. We were all buckled in safely in the van and we got away. Caiden likes to ride in the back seat. But he didn't come into the store with us. He waited in the car and when we came out, he was asleep. On the way home I made sure Mommy drove really slowly so we didn't wake Caiden.

You might be interested in checking out the photo album for the latest pictures of me. I got a new raincoat and umbrella that match my Hello Kitty rain boots. And they were a really good deal! (The first raincoat I found was too expensive. 'Expensive' is one of the newest words in my vocabulary along with 'artificial' since we gave up artificial colors for Lent.) There is also a collage of me trimming the grass that I planted at ECFE class a couple weeks ago. I had been waiting and waiting to do that!

And it's back

Skinny snowman & pet snowballs

The snow was gone. I was enjoying playing in the puddles and seeing the grass again. And now, in one night, it's all back! I was still happy to go out and play. Not William. He was pretty sad about the grass. But he eventually followed us out and had fun anyway. Mommy thought we'd finally be able to build a really big snowman with all that heavy, wet snow. It hasn't been sticky enough all winter. But it turned out not to be so sticky after all and we had to collect snowballs instead. Our snowman turned out pretty skinny and kept falling down, but we got it built. I also found one snowball that I made my pet and I carried it everywhere with me.

The spectator's lounge

The most fun thing Mommy built was a fort with seats in it. The snow was so heavy and packed that she just shoveled benches in the snow bank and we could sit on them! Mom and Dad tried to say it was just for them to watch us play on the big snow hill, but we insisted on having seats in it, too. William and I played there for a long time even after Mom and Dad left because their butts got cold. It was fun to have the snow back again for a little while. And when it melts, it will mean more puddles!

Fun day at the Children's Museum

Submitted by Sara on Thu, 03/10/2011 - 10:44pm

Our last great adventure of spring break week (for William) was a trip to the Children's Museum! We went with our friends Michelle and Katie. The kids had a blast! I was a bad mom and didn't remember the camera. It's a good thing my phone takes decent pictures because there were so many great memories to capture, like this video of the YMCA:

William was also able to have a sleepover and go sledding with Uncle Michael earlier in the week. And Monday all the cousins on my side got to meet at the zoo! Even a couple of the second cousins joined us. I did remember to bring my camera on that trip.

Proof that the cousins were all in one place

Next week it's back to school for William and back to normal for the rest of us!

Momma Will You?

Submitted by Eliana on Thu, 02/24/2011 - 9:01pm

One of my favorite books to read is one called "Momma Will You?" In that book a little boy (who I call William) asks his mom if she'll do all sorts of things from milk the cow to dress the cat like their baby (who I call Eliana). The momma in the story says, "Maybe we will dress the cat, if she won't run away." So today my momma and I tried to dress the cat.

So pretty in Hello Kitty's dress

And guess what? She didn't run away! I think she always wanted to know what it was like to wear clothes. Mommy says maybe she thinks she's a person. We even got her into two different outfits! It was the highlight of my day. Don't worry, Hero got lots of treats afterward for playing so nicely with us.

I finally lost a tooth!

Submitted by William on Sun, 02/20/2011 - 2:40pm

He finally lost a tooth!

"Yay! Hooray! I finally lost a tooth!" I took a bite of an apple. My tooth did not fall out. I took a few more bites. And POP my tooth fell out! At first I thought it was an apple piece. And then I noticed it was white and I noticed that it was my tooth! Om-nom-nom! I was just gnawing through that apple. After my tooth fell out I had a few more bites, but I was full. And that night, I found a dollar under my pillow. It had a tiny, tiny 'P' on it. Mom did not know what it was. I held it up to the light and I saw that it was a 'P' and I knew what it stood for. Since the dollar was silver, I knew it was from a different state. It was from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was from the tooth fairy! I looked in my tooth container. Nothing was in there! The tooth fairy turned it into money... or did it take the tooth and leave the money? I showed Mom the "I finally lost a tooth dance." You'll see a video of it on this blog. I showed Dad the "I finally lost a tooth dance," too. The end. That's a true story.

My friends

Me with my friend Katie at Trivia weekend

Katie and her parents came to trivia this weekend and we played for a long time. It was even nice enough to go outside for a while. Our team came in fourth, but it was close this year and we were in first for a lot of the time. At least that's what I hear. I was at Grandma and Grandpa's half the time. Mostly I just like the first place trophy that Mommy brought home. I can't tell that those numbers say 2007.

Me with my imaginary friend Caiden

I played with my friend Caiden at my house today. I gave him a chocolate heart valentine and he shared it with me. He's a good friend. That's him sitting next to me at dinner, in case you couldn't see him. He likes chicken nuggets dipped in honey and broccoli. My parents like how well mannered he is and the fact that he is completely potty trained. He went upstairs after dinner and went potty all by himself! At night he slept under my pillow. He was such a nice boy to have around today, maybe he'll stay a while.

Baby Lily Stuff

Submitted by Eliana on Thu, 02/10/2011 - 11:29am

Mommy was a upset this morning when she saw that William wrote on my stuff. She's always reminding me to write on paper. But she felt a little better when I told her, "It say, 'Baby Stuff' and 'Baby Lily Wipes'." That's how she knew that I wanted William to do that. She couldn't be mad at him for teaching me to read.

Episode 30: Buster the Watchdog/Episode 36: Buster the Watchdog

Submitted by William on Sun, 02/06/2011 - 8:03pm

In episode 30 of Buster the Watchdog, Buster the Watchdog takes off and he lands smack on a giant ABC123 caterpillar. And then he puts more gas in his house and he takes off and the caterpillar runs away! When he was flying in his house, he was trying to get to his grandma's house but he accidentally ran out of gas before he got there. Then he got more gas and he got to his grandma's house/

A little bit about Buster the Watchdog:
Buster the Watchdog lives in the future where there is flying houses and fishies bouncing on trampolines underwater or playing card games shooting dice. And Buster the Watchdog, as you can tell, he is a dog. He has a flying house and he puts only a tiny bit of gas in it. So whenever he takes off, he flies for a little bit and lands.

In episode 36 of Buster the Watchdog, I put on an orange headband and stick a blue comb through it. I yank the comb out and the headband goes over my eyes and I say, "AHHHH!"

Buster the Watchdog is a tv show that I'm going to make when I grow up.
One problem, I do not know how to make a movie. Or a cartoon.

Doctor

Submitted by Eliana on Mon, 01/31/2011 - 2:40pm

Today I went to the doctor for my annual well check. It was good timing because I'm well from the last time I was sick and I needed to get rechecked anyway. But it was bad timing because I lost a little weight while I was sick. I wonder what percentile I'd be if I was still 26 pounds. Since I lost half a pound I was in the 4th percentile for weight. But for height I was 15th! I'm 35 3/4 inches tall. The doctor was happy to see that I could tell her how old I am and copy the shapes she drew. I got to do a hearing and vision check, which was pretty tricky. Not that I can't see, but there are lots of directions to follow and questions to answer. I could hear the beeps in my ears and my answers kept getting quieter and quieter, so they think I'm hearing them just right. Mommy had told me no shots today, but it turned out that they did want to give me one shot. When Mommy asked if it was okay with me, I said yes. I wanted to get a shot just like Corduroy when he goes to the doctor in the book. I whimpered a little bit when the nurse gave me the shot, but I right away wanted to see the band-aid and I loved the bubbles the nurse blew. Now my butt hurts a little bit, I mean my leg. I keep forgetting. Mommy was confused at first why I was saying my butt hurts. I went to school after the doctor and painted a picture. I was late, but I was glad I got there in time for snack. I had to miss school last week when I was sick. I was really sad to miss it and happy to be back! Hopefully I'll stay healthy now so I don't have to miss any more school!

I like to tie my baby up like they do in the Babies movie.
