I should also add an update about Cindy. She's feeling better and helping out some from home. She called me last week to ask if Darren and I could speak at an Adoption Education Day. Since we have such a great open relationship with our birthparents, she thought we'd be the ones to help people get over any anxiety they might have about openness. Unfortunately Darren is in the cities on the day they needed someone, but I'm going to fly solo and tell our story to all these unsuspecting potential adoptive parents. They have no idea what's in store for them. I'll have to make sure to say that our adoption is more open than most anyone else I talk to and not to get their hopes up too high :)
